Hilda Louise Bissig

Hilda Louise Bissig - Passed away in Sebastopol on Monday, April 23, 2007, at the age of 93. Cherished wife of the late Alois Bissig. Beloved mother of Michael Bissig (Gerri) of Santa Rosa, Louis Bissig (Susan) of Laton, CA, Robert Bissig of Santa Rosa, and the late Richard Bissig(Laurie) of Laton, CA. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, her beloved brother, Frank Truttman, her sister-in-law, Helen Truttman, and many dearly loved nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Friday, April 27, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Church, 10189 State Route 1, Olema, CA. Memorial contributions can be made in Hilda's name to the Helping Hands Ministry of Sacred Heart Church in Olema, CA. Family assisted by PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY SEBASTOPOL,829-5433. Hilda was a long-time resident of West Marin, having lived both in Olema and Point Reyes. She was a homemaker and a helpmate to her husband, and shared her life with him for nearly fifty years, until his death in 1984. She was a devoted member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Olema, and served as a member of the Alter Society. In later years she became active in the West Marin Senior Citizens Club, and was a former Senior Citizen of the Year for West Marin. She devoted much of her time and energy to her family, but also found time to serve the community at large, including many years of service as a 4-H Club leader.
