Irene Medeiros Pacheco

IRENE MEDEIROS PACHECO, 92 of Sebastopol, CA passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Valentine's Day at Apple Valley Acute Rehabilitation Center. Born January 31, 1924 to Mary and Manuel Pimentel. She is predeceased by her siblings Isabel, Mary, and Manuel, her son Steve Medeiros, grandson Andrew, and husband Germon Medeiros. They settled in Santa Rosa and ran a dairy where they raised seven children: A daughter Rosemary (Chuck) Morrison, and 6 sons Jerry, Danny (Sheri), Jim (Julie), George (Susan), and Stanley (Kim) Medeiros. Irene married Oris Pacheco in 1981, they lived life to its fullest traveling, RV camping, tailgating at 49er games and cheering for the Giants before his passing in 2006. Irene had a love for cooking, gardening, dancing and playing cards. Most of all she had a deep love for her family, 20 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, many cherished nieces,nephews and an abundance of friends. She will be remembered for her commitment to her family, her great cooking and her larger than life personality. She was hard working, generous, kind, and her love for life inspired us all. The family would like to thank the staff at Apple Valley Rehabilitation and Dr Gieseke for the wonderful care and devotion to Irene. Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass, Friday, February 19, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 35 Liberty St., Petaluma. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm with a Vigil Service at 7:00 PM at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to the CJD Foundation 341 W. 38th Street, Ste 501, New York, NY 10018 in Memory of Steve Medeiros or to your favorite charity. Private Entombment: Mt.
