Irene Louise Ricci

Irene Louise (Giorgetti) Ricci - Passed away at age 83 on August 30, 2008 in Petaluma. A native of Crockett, CA, she was born Irene Louise Giorgetti on April 27, 1925, to Leone and Bambina Giorgetti who immigrated from Samarate, Italy. She attended schools in Crockett and graduated from John Swett High School. During World War II she was employed at what was then called Mare Island Navy Yard. She has been married to Carlo James Ricci for 61 years. She met her loving husband at their cousin's wedding in St. Helena. She lived most of her life in Petaluma. At age 45 she was diagnosed with crippling Rheumatoid Arthritis, the same disease her mother had throughout her life. A special thanks to the total care received from Hospice of Petaluma. She is survived by her husband Carlo and her children Dan (Ginny) Ricci, Lori (Dennis) Barnes, Carlene (Thomas) Dolcini, and Ken Ricci. She is also survived by her brother Rudy (LanNada) Giorgetti of Central Point, OR. She was a wonderful and caring Grandmother to Gina Brians, Lisa Ricci, Catherine Ricci-Maltby, Chris Ricci, Anthony Barnes, Darin Barnes, Thomas Dolcini, Jr., Grace Dolcini, and Cara Ricci. She was Great-Grandmother of James Maltby, Jacob Maltby, Christian Ricci, and Hanna Brians.
