"The Big I" - Born March 9, 1925, Our Angel left peacefully for heaven on November 28, 2015. Orphaned early in life she and her brother Bob Kenealey were raised in Petaluma by the Guglielmetti sisters and attended St. Vincent's where she gained a life-long passion for learning. She was our database of knowledge from history, science, music, geography, art, gardening, the classics - just ask her grandchildren!! Her great love of sports began as a young girl, glued to the radio listening to football games and is remembered as an avid Niner and Giants fan. She loved all music, playing the piano or often singing along with her iPad to the Beatles, Simon & Garfunkle, Nat King Cole and many other favorites. A self-made woman, when her marriage ended she balanced raising her children with work at several local businesses.
Irma married Jack Burnett in 1943 and was blessed with 11 children: preceeded in death by Kathleen, Michael and John; survived by daughter-in law Brenda, Kathy (Jim) Pardun, Marnie (Steve) Pinsker, Pattie Shepard, Barbara (Joe) Netter, Tim, Norine Hamilton, Brigid (Ron) Morris, & Nancy (Brent) Chadwick; 13 adored grandchildren: Nicole (Debbie), Julia, Nathan, Jason, Lauren, Kara (Michael), Jonathan, Nina, Alexander, Natalie, Madeline, Jacqueline and Braeden; cherished nieces, nephews, extended family and endless friends.
