Isabel M. Chicano passed away peacefully on June 22, 2024 at the age of 94. Isabel is survived by her children, Sharon Chicano (J. Richard Cooper) of Monroe, GA and John Chicano of Penngrove. She was preceded in death by her husband John A. Chicano, Jr., her parents, Paul Fomasi and Jennie Bordessa, her sister, Olga Manni, and her brother Elvin Fomasi. Isabel graduated from Petaluma High School in 1949. She worked at Petaluma French Bakery, Pedroni’s Delicatessen, and Marin French Cheese Co. She bowled for many years and was a member of the Petaluma Woman’s Bowling Assoc. and the 500 Club. She was also a 69 year member of the Native Daughters of the Golden West, Petaluma Parlor #222. She was also an avid embroiderer. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 27, 5-8 pm, with the Rosary at 7 pm at Parent Sorensen Mortuary in Petaluma. Funeral service will be held in the chapel at the mortuary on Friday, June 28, at 10 am, followed by burial at 11 am at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
