Jack Ingerson

September 11, 1934 — January 4, 2008

Jack Ingerson - Born in Petaluma and grew up on the Ingerson Ranch. Beloved husband of Mary Ingerson. Loving father of Larry Ingerson and his wife Trudy of Yerington, Nevada. Barbara Matteri of Petaluma, Becky Alvarez of Rohnert Park, Kevin Ingerson and his wife Susan of Santa Rosa. Brother of the late Lewis "Buck""" Ingerson of Penngrove and Clifford Ingerson of Petaluma. The grandfather of 13 and great-grandfather of 12. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Many know him as """Uncle Jack""". He was a resident in Santa Rosa for the past 12 years with his wife Mary and best friend, his dog Pepper, along with mules and horses. Jack was a successful owner/operator of Ingerson Trucking; he bought his first truck in 1962 and watched it grow to 50 trucks. He contracted with Petaluma Co-op Creamery and picked up milk form local dairy ranches for over 40 years. For many years he and his brother Buck were avid John Deere collectors and restorers, He loved camping at Salt Point, riding his ATV in the mountains. He was a member of the Hitch and Bitch, Riding and Driving Club where he would drive his mules and wagon on the trails. Jack loved life and shared good times with family and friends. He loved to travel and have yearly get-togethers. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at 3:00 P.M. at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk Street, Petaluma. A Visitation will be held the same day from 9:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. The family prefers memorial contributions be made to Memorial Hospice of Santa Rosa, 821 Mendocino Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA. ""
