He is also survived by his brother Michael (Susan), numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his mother and father James Sr. and Margaret, sisters Beverly, Marie and Lorraine.
Jim proudly served in the US Marine Corps Reserves followed by the US Navy. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator for the County of Marin for 30 years and retired as a Supervisor.
Jim loved his family and enjoyed camping trips, fishing, picking fruit and doing yard work with the children. After retirement, he looked forward to weekly golf with his brother and many friends he met along the way.
Jim was a faithful man reading his Bible every day and volunteering for many years at St. James Catholic Church helping with mass and maintenance. He would help anyone in need at any time. You could not have met a nicer man. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family would like to thank all of the Hospice care staff who helped with Jim’s journey. They were an integral part of his care and comfort to his family.
