James William Byrne

James William Byrne - BYRNE, JAMES WILLIAM - Entered into rest at home in Santa Rosa, CA on November 27, 2011. Loving husband of Gloria for 26 years. Father of Kathleen, Jim, Margie, Terrie, Maryellen, and Laurie and stepfather of Terry, Linda and Tim. Preceded in death by his first wife of 30 years and mother of his children, Mary Hutchinson Byrne. Beloved grandfather of 14 and great grandfather of 2 along with 3 step grandchildren and 1 step great grandchild. Much loved brother-in-law, cousin and dear friend to many. A native of San Francisco, CA, age 88 years. He served in the US Navy during WWII as a Radioman Second Class. He was a graduate of USF with a degree in Business and went on to have a distinguished career in the Insurance Industry. He was a founding member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church including the Men"s Club and Eucharistic Ministry. He was also active in the Druids, Knights of Columbus and St. Vincent DePaul Society. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, Big Band, Frank Sinatra, Irish music and most of all his family.
