James "Jim" Carmin Martino

August 21, 1943 — October 27, 2018

Jim passed away early Saturday morning surrounded by family at Kaiser Hospital in San Francisco at the age of 75. Jim was preceded in death by his parents Carmin and Ora. He is survived by his four younger siblings Tommy (Joanne), Phil, Judy (Paul), and Margie (Randy). Loving father to Justin (Megan), and Tyler (McKenna). Grandfather to Austyn, Orion, Rocco, Dino, and Bruno. Uncle to Lori, Nathan, Jessica, Tommy, Mike and Matt. After growing up in and around Egg Harbor, New Jersey, he joined the Navy at age 17 and served from 1961-1964 aboard a fuel tanker. He worked as a Correctional Officer for 25 years and retired from San Quentin State Prison. After retiring, he enjoyed walking his dogs and spending time with his sons and grandchildren the most. Underneath his outer shell was the most loving, gentle man you would ever know. He will be missed more than he ever knew but will live forever in our hearts and memories forever.
