James M. Gilliam, Sr.

July 29, 1931 — July 8, 2009

James M. Gilliam, Sr. - Departed this earth on July 8, 2009; James is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years Vera Jean; children Gregory, Diane, James, Jr., and David, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. James left this earth the same way he lived his life, with grace and dignity. Although we will miss him, we know he is in a better place. He retired from the Air Force after 20 years of dedicated service. James then went to work for the US Postal Service and retired after 27 years.
