Jane DeWitt Jones - Born August 4, 1916, in Seattle, Washington. Jane passed away peacefully on March 10, 2009 at the age of 92 in her home, surrounded by her family. Jane served as a lieutenant for the W.A.V.E.S. in the United States Navy, where she met her husband. Jane and Charles raised their two daughters in St. Louis, Missouri. After twenty-five years in St. Louis, they moved to San Juan Capistrano in Orange County to enjoy their retirement. Jane was a proud member of Delta Gamma sorority. She was also devoted to serving her communities in St. Louis and San Juan Capistrano by leading volunteer efforts in several different organizations. Jane and Chuck moved to Santa Rosa, California to be near their family in 2004. Jane loved spending time with her family and friends, walks near the ocean, a great conversation, a challenging game of bridge and a fine glass of wine. Jane"s lovely smile and words of wisdom will be missed by many. She was an inspiration to all who had the privilege of being in her life. The family will have a private celebration of her life on Saturday, March 14.
