Jane Walters

Jane Walters, a native of Pennsylvania and a long-time resident of Rohnert Park, California, died on September 24, 2014 at the age of 84. Jane was devoted to her family, church and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Robert. She is survived by her loving son, Bob, and daughter-in-law, Sharon, and was the proud grandmother of Ross and Allison Walters of Windsor. An active member of St. Joseph Church, she served as an extraordinary minister of Holy Communion and in many additional parish ministries while enjoying the fellowship of the Women's Guild. Educated as a registered nurse with the Sisters of Bon Secours, Baltimore, she was employed in California for many years. She enjoyed retirement, the company of her dear friends and various recreational activities. Friends are invited to the Vigil Service with the recitation of the rosary on Wednesday, October 2 at 6:00 P.M. at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary & Crematory, 850 Keokuk Street, Petaluma, CA 94952. Visitation on that day will be from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be said on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 150 St. Joseph Way, Cotati, California. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jane's memory to St. Joseph Catholic Church Building Fund or to your charity of choice.
