Janet Pearl Gordon

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Janet Pearl Gordon a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, who died in Petaluma, California on August 22, 2026 at the age of 88.

She met her husband, Robert Emmett Gordon in 1957 and they were married in 1958. They celebrated 68 years of marriage and raised two children.

She is predeceased by her parents, Harley and Thelma and her brother Eugene. She is survived by her husband and two children, Sandra and Robert and her four grandchildren, Sam, Rhiannon, Caleb and Brendon.

Janet was a devoted and loving mother who dedicated her life to her family. She made family holidays special with festive decor and home cooked meals. The void left by her absence is impossible to fill.

Those who knew Janet, admired her talent for challenging jigsaw puzzles, and her hobbies included crafting, crossword puzzles and reading. She enjoyed collecting and had an impressive collection of miniature shoes. Other interests involved roadtrips and camping, especially spending time in nature at the Russian River.

Her family will remember her strength and the steady love that enriched their lives.

A viewing and short memorial service will be held at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary in Petaluma on Thursday, August 27th, at 11am. The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to Parent-Sorensen Mortuary.
