J.D. Costa - Passed away quietly on August 31, 2009 in Petaluma. Devoted husband of Connie Miranda of Petaluma and the late Elizabeth Marie Costa. Cherished father of DuWayne Costa of San Jose, Marie Copenhaver of Madison, WI, and Perry Costa (Sherry) of Nova Scotia. Beloved grandfather of Margie Schmidt (Jeremy), Michelle Copenhaver, Steven, Timmy and Brittany Costa. Adored great-grandfather of Lexie Schmidt. Loving step-father of Dan Dutra and Bill Lage (Kathy). Dear step-grandfather of Will Dutra, Mia Lage, and Jenna Lage. Adored brother of Betty Jo Clary. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Age: 72 years. JD was born in Texas. At a young age, his family moved to Hilo, HI until moving to San Mateo. He owned and operated JPR Electronics. Later, he worked in security for Harker Academy in San Jose, until his retirement in 2005.
