JEAN (LOSNESS) FREESTONE - Was born October 26, 1932 in Menomonie, WI, and passed away peacefully January 12, 2015 after a 2-1/2 year courageous battle with cancer. She was able to remain in her own home in Petaluma, a place she took great pride in after residing there for over 42 years. Jean held various jobs, with the most well-known being her role in the carpet industry and as a homemaker.
She was a devoted wife for almost 54 years to the late Dave Freestone; amazing mother to daughters, Paula Lutz (Tim), Kristi Leone (the late Tom), and Lisa Underwood (Bob); adored grandmother of Nichole Ginocchio (Arthur), Justin Lutz, Tiffany Elias (Chris), and Morgan Lutz; "Gigi" to great-grandchildren Shane and Maci Ginocchio and Zoey and Cole Elias; daughter of the late Albert and Lucille Losness; sister of the late Larry Losness, Connie Stanley (the late Marty), and Julie Chase (Curtis). She is also survived by many extended family and friends.
We will all greatly miss her compassion, positive attitude and countless stories. She also loved crossword puzzles, the People magazine, lunch dates and lattes.
A Celebration of Jean's life will be held February 7, 2015 with close family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations to be made in her memory to Hospice of Petaluma (their kind support to Jean and family will forever be appreciated), 416 Payran Street, Petaluma, CA and Petaluma Kitchen, 301 Payran Street, Petaluma, CA 94592. Family assisted by PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, Petaluma.
