Jeanette Wendt-Orme

Feb 22, 1961 — Jul 7, 2026

Rohnert Park

Jeanette Irene Davidson Wendt Orme left us on July 7, 2026, surrounded by love and her family. Jeanette was born on February 22, 1961, in Petaluma. She was a loving mother and stepmother to Lindsey, Chris, and Allan Wendt, Janie Tarca, and Shelli Orme; adopted mother to Renato Stanic; wife and companion to the late James Orme; forever friend and ex-wife to Dennis Wendt; caring daughter of Fred and Irene Davidson; sister of Steve and Glenna Davidson; "Auntie Netty" to Cerena Davidson, and dear niece to "Ameise Lou", among so many others.

Jeanette dedicated her life to educating and helping others. She was a teacher in every sense of the word. As an educator and therapist, she made others feel cared for, considered, and deserving of her love and guidance just as they were. Jeanette was a consummate professional and colleague, spending over 30 years teaching in Lake and Sonoma counties. Early on, while working full-time as a teacher, Jeanette earned her MA in Psychology from Chapman University, became a marriage and family therapist, and toward the end of her career, she developed and administered her school district’s counseling program.

Jeanette was intrinsically passionate and artistic. She played several instruments, including the piano, dulcimer, guitar, and even taught herself the ukulele. She found herself in and expressed herself through music, and she always had a soundtrack to her life.

With her warm and always open heart, Jeanette was also a collector of people to share in the incredible amount of love she had to give. If you knew her, you knew you were always welcome in her space, around her island off Davis Lane or Alden Avenue, to sit, to talk, or to just be. She was mom, wife, daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, niece, teacher, therapist, neighbor, and friend to so many who were lucky enough to share time with her. Jeanette was kind, compassionate, immensely empathetic, free-spirited, endlessly understanding, and she loved limitlessly…and is loved without end.

If you wish to share in and celebrate her incredible life and love, please join us for an afternoon at the Penngrove Social Fireman’s Clubhouse at 385 Woodward Avenue in Penngrove on August 30th, 2026, at noon. There will be music, food, photographs, memories, tears, and laughter to share with anyone and everyone who can be there. In lieu of flowers, if you wish, please consider making a contribution to the Bennett Valley Education Foundation and/or the Penngrove Social Firemen’s Club in her honor. Thank you all for loving her so much.
