Jenny Shone

She’s teeing up with the Angels. Jenny Avilla-Shone, born July 25, 1963, in San Francisco, passed peacefully at home on June 8, 2021, just shy of her 58th birthday. The home she shared with her husband in Petaluma was a picture of her creativity and meticulous attention to detail. Her greatest joy was spending time with her step-children and grandkids and hosting family paloozas. The consummate perfectionist, Jenny took great pride in creating handmade crafts and greeting cards, cooking, baking, traveling, gardening, and spending time with her family. Each Christmas, recipients waited anxiously for her magnificently created holiday cards. Holiday cookies were cut and measured with laser accuracy. Each gift wrapped just so. She chose golf as a past time. She competed with her golf team at amateur tournaments throughout the US and placed in her division. The time she spent with her golf buddies was extremely special to her. Jenny worked within different departments of Benziger Family Winery spanning over 30 years. Twenty-five of those years were under the direction of Mike Benziger. Her contributions to the organization were many. She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Barry Shone; in-laws Don (Sherry) Shone, Pete Shone, Tracy (Mark) Shone-Burningham; foster Mother, Nancy Hunt; siblings Elizabeth Means (deceased), Barney (Guia) Avilla, Joanne (Michael) Byrne, Shirley Avilla, Frank (Caroline) Avilla, Mary Avilla, Dennis (Jennifer) Hunt, Audrey (Ponchi) Tallman (deceased); step-children Amanda (Kayden) Long and Evan (Melissa) Shone; four grandchildren, 11 nephews, five nieces; 22 great nephews and nieces; and numerous cousins throughout the world. A Celebration of Life will be held at 14335 Sonoma Hwy, Glen Ellen, CA 95442 on June 19, 2021 between 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm.
