Jerry R. Guyer

JERRY R. GUYER passed away on October 3, 2016 in Santa Rosa at the age of 75 years. Devoted son of Doris Guyer of Petaluma and the late Robert Guyer. Beloved brother of Connie Anderson (Bill) of Paradise. Uncle of three and survived by numerous grandnieces and grandnephews. Jerry was born in Santa Rosa but reared and educated in Petaluma. In 1959, he graduated from Petaluma High School where he excelled in football and track. Jerry joined the Army National Guard and was sent to Los Angeles to respond to the Watts Riots. Later, he enlisted in the US Army and served during the Vietnam Era. A Visitation will be held on Friday, October 7, 2016 from 12:00 pm at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma, followed by a Graveside Service at 2:00 pm at Cypress Hill Memorial Park, 430 Magnolia Ave., Petaluma.
