Jerry Schwartz

Jerry "Jerome" Schwartz - Jerry Schwartz died on Thursday, May 10, 2007 in San Francisco at the age of 57 of liver cancer. Dedicated son of Sylvia Schwartz and the late Nathan Schwartz. Loving father of Nathan Schwartz and stepfather of Shelby Dennison. Dear brother of Lisa Schwartz and her husband Michael Feeley. Uncle of Nira and Nathaniel Feeley and first cousin to Adeline Burstyn, Sylvia Jacobs, Steven and Jeff Dorenfeld, Sim and David Schwartz. Jerry was an avid sports fan, but his favorite sport was always baseball, following the San Francisco Giants from the time they arrived on the west coast. Of course, his greatest baseball joy came from watching his son, Nathan, pitch and play first base on numerous little league teams. Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Sunday, May 13, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma, CA. Burial will be at Bâ??Nai Israel Cemetery, 430 Magnolia Ave., Petaluma. Memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Bâ??Nai Israel, 740 Western Ave., Petaluma, CA 94952 or to your favorite charity. Jerry's ancestors emigrated from eastern Europe to Petaluma in the 1920's becoming one of the pioneering families in the chicken-ranching business. Jerry was born, raised and lived his whole life in Sonoma County. He attended Penngrove Elementary School, Kenilworth Junior High School, and graduated from Petaluma High School in 1967.
