Jim was a former Marin and Sonoma County resident who was on this earth for 75 years to the day. He had many names over the years: Jim, Dad, Mr. Jim, MJ and his favorite name Papa.

Born in San Francisco into a large family. He was number 5 of 8 children. He moved to Marin as a child and graduated from Drake High School. He went on to attend College of Marin and Sonoma State, Majoring in Business. He excelled in everything he did. His biggest accomplishment was Kennco Construction. He started the business from the ground up and worked hard for over 40 years, making his clients’ homes as well as the world a more beautiful place. He was a fanatic for detail, so word of mouth was all it took.

He was a car enthusiast his whole life, loving his 1937 Chevrolet pickup he named Henry. His most cherished memories were the times spent with family and friends at Lake Berryessa, Hot August Nights, and Kauai. He loved to have a good time with red wine in hand. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Roberta, 2 children and 5 grandchildren.

A celebration will be held in his honor on Tuesday, July 20th 10:30 am at Parent Sorensen, 850 Keokuk Street, Petaluma. Donations are encouraged to your local Hospice.
