Jo Nell Annett

Passed away at her Petaluma residence on Sunday, March 31, 2013 at the age of 86 years. Devoted wife of the late "Hal" Annett. Loving mother of Michael (Janet) Annett of AZ, Gregory Annett of Petaluma, and Michele Annett of Sonora, CA. Dear grandmother of Brian, Stephanie, Christopher, Brian, Nicholas, John Mark and great-grandmother of Alexandra, Maxwell, Victoria, Elizabeth, and Michael. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Friend and colleague to many people in the Bay Area. Jo was a native of Pittsburg, Texas and moved to California in the late 40's. She became a Stewardess for United Airlines based in San Francisco in the early 50's and met her life partner Hal while working there. When his job took him to Hawaii as a pilot, she brought her children along on the adventure. In 1967, Hal was hired by World Airways, and the family followed to Japan. 11 years later, the family moved to Sonoma County where she lived for the rest of her life. Jo was a resident of Petaluma for over 30 years, and she was the Administrative Assistant at the Petaluma People Services Center for over 16 years. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. Private Inurnment will be at Cypress Hill memorial Park, Petaluma. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Petaluma People Services Center - Counseling for Families in her memory.
