Joanne Marie Leonard

Joanne Marie Leonard - Passed away Sunday, September 6, 2009 after a short illness. She was born January 6, 1935 to John and Ada Olivieri in San Francisco, CA. Raised and educated in Petaluma, attending St. Vincent Elementary and High School, Santa Rosa Junior College. In 1956, married Raymond Leonard (1929-1993)they raised two children, Raeanne, (Pat Facendini ) of Petaluma and Raymond II, (Debbie) of Santa Rosa. Beloved Nonni to Patrick and KateAshley Facendini / Austin and Daniel Leonard. . Joanne worked for the Boy Scouts of America - Marin Council (1956 to 1960) and the Redwood Empire Council, (1979 to 2000 ). Joanne loved to volunteer and found satisfaction in serving others. Her volunteer memberships included: Redwood Empire Kennel Club, Countywide Dog Training Club, Petaluma High School Band Boosters Club, Girl Scout leader and Day Camp Director, Italian Catholic Federation and the Widows and Widowers Club. She was involved in St. Vincent de Paul Church and schools in many capacities. The Boy Scouts was a career and passion of her life. She served in many capacities as volunteer, including processing Eagle Scout applications up until her death .
