Joe Wilton Nuss

JOE W. NUSS passed away peacefully at his home in Bodega Bay, CA, April 4, 2016 at the age of 81. Joe is survived by his brother Jean and his wife Donna of Wayne, NE and was preceded in death by his sister, Joan Carl. Joe is also survived by many nieces and nephews. A native of Wayne, NE, Joe graduated from Notre Dame University in 1956. After graduation, he served in the US Navy Reserve for two years and was stationed at Skaggs Island. He then joined his family in the operation of the family owned Ben Franklin variety store, until he retired in 1993. After his retirement, he moved to Bodega Bay in 1994. He loved to entertain at his home, and he was very active in the St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Bodega where he enjoyed singing at the weekend mass. Friends and family are invited to attend the Rosary on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 1:00 pm and the Funeral Mass at 1:30 pm at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 17242 Bodega Hwy., Bodega, CA. Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery, Wayne, NE. Joe requested that memorials be made to St. Teresa's Restoration Fund, PO Box 404, Bodega Bay, CA 94923. Vigil Service
