John Brunton

John Brunton - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on September 12, 2008. Loving father of Jim Brunton of Cotati, Christine Oâ??Brien of Maryland and their spouses Julie & Rich. Devoted grandfather of Christy & Kevin Brunton. Dear brother of Marilyn Johnson of Healdsburg and Bonnie Elliot of Courtland. Uncle to many wonderful nieces and nephews. Born in LA, raised in San Francisco, Jack attended Washington High School. As a young man, Jack was a Sea Scout and went on to serve in the Marines. He earned his Bachelors & Masters Degrees in Industrial Arts & Education from San Jose State, where he was a member of Delta Upsilon. Thereafter, he taught school in San Francisco for over 30 years. Jack had a passion for life and enjoyed it to the fullest. He built boats and was very artistic and creative. Throughout the years he had many sail boat racing and travel adventures with his beloved friends. Jack was a long time member of the Sausalito Yacht Club & SIRS.
