John W. Burbage - Passed away peacefully at home in Sonoma, August 1, 2008, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Bette J. Burbage of Sonoma. Loving father of Marilyn Vance of Santa Rosa, Fred (Melanie) Burbage of Santa Rosa and the late Robert Burbage. Adored grandfather of Fred Eberhardt, Dawn Lambertz, Matthew (Malissa) Vance, Lisa Burbage, David Burbage, Amanda Burbage and Megan Burbage. Cherished great grandfather of Emily Eberhardt, Jenna Lambertz ,Kyle Von Dohlen, Alize, Alecia and Alivia Vance. Loving brother of Charles Jackson (Meredith) Burbage, Jay (Lynn) Burbage all of No. Carolina and the Late Frances Burbage. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was born in Sidney, No. Carolina and has lived in Sonoma County since 1946. John was a family man first. He enjoyed fishing almost as much as he enjoyed his family. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II. He loved his craft as a union carpenter and was a union member for over 55 years, but his greatest accomplishment was his marriage of 64 years to â??the love of his life, Betteâ?
