John William Jay

John William Jay, also known as jdub, jet. , passed away on February 9 2024, surrounded by his family. He was 74. He was born on October 12, 1949, in Santa Rosa, CA. John is survived by his beloved wife Lisa, sons John and Michael (wife Hazel), and his father-in-law John McLarty. He is also survived by his brother-in-law John McLarty (wife Christine) and several nieces and nephews.

John had a successful career and retired as the Chief of Plant Operations from Napa State Hospital. He was highly respected in his field and made significant contributions to the hospital throughout his tenure.

In his free time, John enjoyed playing golf with his sons and was an avid fan of the 49ers, Giants, and horse racing. Some of his fondest memories were spent camping at Shovel Creek with Bob Hahn and his family during the summers.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that any donations be made to hospice in John's honor. A Memorial Service will be held at 11am, Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary & Crematory, 850 Keokuk Street, Petaluma, CA.

John William Jay will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. May his memory be a blessing.
