John Ramatici

John Ramatici - Passed away peacefully at his home in Petaluma, surrouned by his family Sunday, February 4, 2007 after a year and half battle with ALS, at the age of 46. He is the loving husband of Michelle; adored father of Kylie, Jake, Natale Ramatici and Brittany Freitas. Loving son of Don and Jan Ramatici. Cherished brother of Donna Ramatici, Susan Powers and her husband, Tom, Joan Johnson and Paul Ramatici. Beloved son in law of Ted and Diane Richardson and Gloria Richardson. Brother in law of Jackie and Tom Roehrick, Danielle Craighead, Suzie Johnson, Jeff and Becky Richardson. Loving uncle of Andrew and Taylor Samuelson, Elizabeth and Daniel Powers, Michael, Steven, Peter and Mark Johnson, Brianna and Jennea Ramatici, Macey, Haily and Brooke Roehrick, Savanna and Syndney Craighead, Taylor and Nicky Richardson. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. John was born, raised and educated in Petaluma, graduating from Petaluma High School, Class of 1978. He received his BA from the University of Nevada- Reno. John was Vice President and co-owner of Don Ramatici Insurance, Inc. An accomplished athlete throughout high school and college, he was recently inducted in the University of Nevada-Reno Hall of Fame. John was also an avid cyclist and an accomplished pilot. John was a member of the Petaluma Rotary Club, Petaluma Lodge #901 BPOE, Nicasio Parlor #183 NSGW, North Coast Builders Exchange, serving on their Board of Directors and a member of the Engineering Contractors Association. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2007 from 11:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, Magnolia Ave. and Keokuk St., Petaluma. The Vigil Service will be at 6:30 P.M. on Thursday at ST. VINCENT de PAUL CHURCH, 35 Liberty St., Petaluma. Family and friends are also invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Friday, February 9, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Vincent de Paul Church. Private burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Petaluma, CA.
