John "Suitcase" Suit

Born in Santa Rosa, CA and raised in Petaluma, CA, John Wayne Suit passed away on October 28th 2021, he was 76. John is the loving father of Brian Suit (Nicole) and Tyler Suit. Grandfather to his adored granddaughter, Camryn Suit. Son to his late parents Patricia and Alfred Barindelli and Brother to Sandra Carroll (Rick) of Petaluma. A proud native of Petaluma CA, John was a graduate of Petaluma High School, class of ’63. He went on to play baseball at Sonoma State, where he threw a no hitter on March 21st, 1967.  John later served 6 years in the National Guard and in the late 60’s he started his trucking career with Bar-Ale (Petaluma). Continuing truck driving, he went on to haul hay for Brocco and Son’s (Sonoma) and lastly completed his hard-working career with Shamrock Materials (1980 to 2009). John’s passion for the trucking business was shared with his two sons, as they loved to go to work and ride in the truck with Dad. John was an avid Bay Area sports fan, rooting for the Giants, 49ers, and Warriors. He would also adamantly follow the World of Out Laws (Sprint Cars) and NASCAR. Since retiring in 2009, John enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He acquired new hobbies, joining a billiards league and gun club where he would enjoy trapshooting. With his witty sense of humor, we will miss John’s great knack to share a good story. His humble, soft spoken and calm demeanor is what we loved about him. You will be so missed! We LOVE YOU “Suitcase”! In lieu of flowers, if you wish to donate in John’s honor, please do so to a charity of your choice. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service held at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary, 850 Keokuk Street in Petaluma at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 19, 2021.
