Jonathan Milby Oakes

Passed away in Petaluma, CA, on November 26 at the age of 35. Beloved husband of 6 years of Pamela Oakes. Loving father of Gavin and Vanessa. Survived by parents, Chris & Cathy Oakes, sister, Beth Drumm (Aaron) of Petaluma; Uncle to Max and Jackson Drumm. Jon was born in San Francisco and grew up in Petaluma. He graduated from Casa Grande in 1999. He joined the Army in 1999 and went on to become a highly-decorated Green Beret. He received an honorable discharge from the Army in 2009. Jon graduated from MMI (Motorcycle Mechanics Institute) in 2012. His special interests were his family and playing with his kids, Harley's, Vietnam Legacy Motorcycle Group, long-rifle shooting competitions, cooking & grilling, and tennis. Family and friends are invited to attend the Graveside Service on Monday, December 14, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon, CA.
