Joni Holtgrave

Joni Holtgrave - Joni Holtgrave of Santa Rosa, age 51, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2008. Joni was born in San Francisco on July 23, 1956, and grew up in Mill Valley and Terra Linda. She attended St. Isabellaâ??s School, graduated from Terra Linda High School in 1974, and attended Chico State College as an art major. Resident of Sonoma County for 20 years. Joni was the sweet loving daughter of Ralph and Alice Holtgrave (both deceased), and is survived by her dear brother Scott Holtgrave of Long Beach, her beloved sister Linda Hartrich, brother-in-law Robert Hartrich, and was the devoted aunt of Derek and Tyler Hartrich, all of Petaluma. She leaves behind many wonderful cousins, life-long friends, neighbors, caregivers and her beautiful cat 'ChaChi'. God bless you Joni, my sweet sister, we love you and we miss you! Be happy and dance with the angels! Per Joniâ??s wishes, there will be a private family service, and she will be laid to rest at the Cypress Hill Memorial Park in Petaluma. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Christopher Reed Foundation (www.christopherreeve.org) or your favorite charity would be greatly appreciated. Joni was a talented artist and calligrapher. She held various jobs including working for the Marin YMCA, Kerr Steamship Company, Strawberry Travel and was a Certified Nursing Assistant. She enjoyed the guitar, softball, tennis, skiing, and playing a good game of 'Upwords' with her father and sister. Joni loved kids, sports, dancing, traveling, and the SF 49ers. She had a kind heart and a great sense of wacky humor.
