Jonnee S. Podesta

Jonnee was born to Marie K and Glenn W. Stamm in Omaha, NE on September 10, 1923 and passed away in Santa Rosa, CA on August 11, 2020. She grew up in Nebraska until the age of 17 when her family moved to San Francisco, CA. Jonnee attended George Washington High School. While working at American Factors Jonnee met the love of her life, Frank E. Podesta, and the two wed in September of 1950 in San Francisco. She was very active in school PTA and the coordinator of the Lincoln Park Presbyterian senior citizen center. In 1968 she started working for Abbey’s women store. Following retirement Jonnee and Frank moved from San Francisco to Santa Rosa, CA. Jonnee was active in the Oakmont community. In 1990 she became active in the Assistance League including their sights and sounds program and their thrift shop. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church. Jonnee’s greatest passion was spending time with her family. She was always the life of the party, lighting up the room as she entered. Truly a classy lady! Throughout the years Jonnee and Frank also enjoyed traveling with family and friends. Jonnee was predeceased by her husband Frank of 59 years; predeceased by her son James; survived by her son Frank Jr. and daughter-in-law Judy, grandson Jason (Kayla) and great grandson’s Bryson and Cruz; granddaughter Haley (Greg); Survived by her daughter Amy Hesla and predeceased son-in-law Allen and grandson’s Andrew and Jonathan. As an expression of sympathy, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Santa Rosa, Assistance League or a charity of your choice. Private services will be held by the family
