Joseph Aaron Gass

After a courageous 16-month battle with brain cancer, Joe passed away peacefully on the morning of August 29, surrounded by his wife and two children. Joe was born on February 29, 1976, to Joe and Alana Gass and grew up in Rohnert Park, California, with his sisters, Katie and Allie. He earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from Sonoma State University in 2000. In 2003, he co-founded his company with his close friend Dan Ott; another close friend, Josh Sterling, later joined them. Joe took great pride in the company they built together over 23 years and loved sharing stories from their time together in the office.

Outside of work, Joe could most often be found on the golf course. He enjoyed playing with many dear friends, but his favorite partner was his son, Trevor. Time with his children meant everything to him. On several occasions, his wife, Kindra, and daughter, Payton, followed Joe and Trevor around the course in their own golf cart to watch them play—memories that the family will always treasure.

Joe will be remembered for his kindness, loyalty, and deep love for his family, friends, and work. His memory lives on in the stories he shared, the lives he touched, and the joyful moments he created with those who loved him most. Joe is survived by his wife, Kindra; his daughter, Payton; his son, Trevor; parents, Joe and Alana Gass; sisters, Katie and Allie; and many cherished family members and friends.
