Joseph Peter Piazza, Jr.

JOSEPH PETER PIAZZA, JR., passed away on May 24, 2016 in Sebastopol at the age of 87 years. Devoted husband of the late Lena Piazza. Cherished father of Jolene Piazza Orr (Chris) of Sebastopol, Michael Piazza of Santa Rosa, Ryan Barella (Bari) of Windsor, and Judy Barella of Sebastopol. Beloved grandfather of seven and great-grandfather of two. Loving brother of Alfred Piazza (Lorraine), Evelyn Casini, and the late Primo Piazza and Alvin Piazza. Dear brother-in-law of Amelia Piazza. Survived by numerous nieces, nephews, his companion, Betty Higbee, and her extended family. A Sonoma County native, Joseph was a true outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. He was an avid SF Giants fan and never missed a game on television. On Tuesday mornings, he could be found at the Casino in Bodega with his coffee cronies. Above all, Joseph loved his family. He was a wonderful man; he will be greatly missed. The family thanks Heartland Hospice caregivers for their great care of Joseph. Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Liturgy, Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 10:00 am at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY-Sebastopol, 301 S. Main St., Sebastopol. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Mortuary.
