Joseph Ponte, Jr. - Passed away on April 7, 2008 in San Rafael. Devoted husband of the late Adelaide Ponte. Adored father of Edward J. Ponte and his wife Tracy of Petaluma. Cherished grandfather of Edward J. Ponte, Jr. and Hailey L. Ponte both of Petaluma. Age: 81 years. Born in San Rafael, Joe was reared on the Ponte Family Ranch in Frankâ??s Valley in Marin County. He enjoyed working on antique Caterpillar machinery and attended weekly workshop nights at Glen Ghilottiâ??s. Joe was a member of the Sausalito, Petaluma, Novato, and Benicia Holy Ghost Societies, Antique Truck Club, and a supporter of the Santo Cristo Society and the Lusitania Band.
