JOYCE A. KAWAHARA passed away on September 23, 2017 in Petaluma at the age of 73 years. Devoted wife of Sam Kawahara of Petaluma. Cherished mother of Scott Kawahara of Petaluma and Cherie Vitela (Joe) of Las Vegas. Adored grandmother of Kelsey and Kellen Kawahara and Breanna Beck. Beloved daughter of the late Fumiko and Teichi Yoshioka. Loving sister of Milton Yoshioka (Judy), and the late Lloyd Yoshioka, Michiko Jean Yoshioka, and Carol Haan. Dear sister-in-law of Nancy Yoshioka. Joyce worked for AAA in San Francisco for 35 years. She then became a teacher’s aide for Meadow and Waugh Schools for ten years. Friends and family are invited to attend the Memorial Service on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 11:00 am at Enmanji Buddhist Temple, 1200 Gravenstein Hwy., S., Sebastopol. Private Inurnment.
