Juan J. Alejos

JUAN ALEJOS passed away on July 26, 2013 in Petaluma. Devoted husband of Dora Alejos of Petaluma. Cherished father of John Alejos (Megan) of Santa Rosa, Mike Alejos (Laurie) of Petaluma, Pam Dutton (Fred) of ID, Jaime Alejos (Patti) of San Rafael, Martin Alejos (Abby) of San Diego, and the late Joe Alejos. Dear father-in-law of Laura Alejos. Beloved grandfather of fifteen and great-grandfather of five. Loving brother of Joan and Andres; predeceased by six brothers and sisters. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Age: 81 years. Juan was born, reared and educated in TX. When he enlisted in the US Army, he was stationed at the Presidio in San Francisco. He moved his family from TX to CA, settling, at first, in Novato. In 1964, Juan and his family moved to Petaluma where he has resided ever since. He worked as a plumber for over 40 years, primarily for Forman Plumbing Company in Petaluma. Juan was truly a hard worker and often worked many evenings and weekends in order to provide for his family. In his spare time, he enjoyed attending his children's and grandchildren's sporting events and was an avid SF 49er and USC Trojan fan. In the last few years, Juan has spent his time caring for his wife, Dora. Juan was a wonderful man; he will be truly missed. Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass, Friday, August 2, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 35 Liberty St., Petaluma, CA 94952. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2013 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent Church Interior Project or Petaluma High School Athletic Club, 201 Fair St., Petaluma, CA 94952. Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Petaluma.
