Judith L. "Judy" Minor

It is with heavy hearts and love for a life well-lived that the family of Judith “Judy” Minor announces her passing at age 86 after a short illness.

Judy was born July 4, 1936 in Hayward, California to Marguerite Atkins Buzzone and Fred Buzzone. She graduated from Hayward High School, and in her adult life she worked as a medical assistant in Petaluma for more than 30 years. While in Petaluma, she and her husband Lou were members of the Petaluma High School athletics booster club and worked alongside their fellow members in the early 1980s to upgrade the high school track and football field. She recently moved to Valley Orchards retirement community in Petaluma, where she developed many close friendships and found her passion for writing and storytelling.

She traveled the world during her lifetime, but her favorite trip took place this past August when she attended her family’s vacation on Cape Cod. She was surrounded by her children and their spouses, her six grandchildren and their spouses and her eight great-grandchildren. She swam, went boating and enjoyed each person from the oldest to the youngest.

She is predeceased by her husband Louis Minor, her parents, and her brother Robert “Bob” Buzzone.

Judy will be lovingly missed by her three children Donnell Giambastiani (Giovanni), Jennifer Aries (Paul), and Matthew Minor (Erica), her grandchildren Brett Minor and Natalie Minor of Petaluma, Melissa Magerer and her husband Scott of Walpole, MA, Daniel Aries and his wife Marissa of Long Island, NY, Jeff Aries and his wife Brienne of Bradenton, FL, Allison Aries of Cincinnati, OH, and her great grandchildren Cole Aries, Grayson Aries, Elena Bolda, Preslie Aries, Leah Aries, Keegan Magerer, Noah Aries and Piper Magerer, and many relatives and friends.
