JUDITH ANN PATOCCHI, age 79, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side, on October 31, 2018, just three weeks to the day of being diagnosed with lung cancer on the date of what would have been her mother’s 101st birthday. Judy is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Carlo Arnold Patocchi. Loving mother of Larry Patocchi (Tori), Lisa Ohman (Mark), David Patocchi (fiancée Tammy Schnetz), and Dina Solis (David). Cherished grandmother of Chelsea Thompson (Sam), Brittany McMullin (Josh), Trevor Patocchi, Scott Scheppelmann (Lisa), Leslie Scheppelmann, and Olivia and Joaquin Solis. Great-grandmother of Madeline and Miles McMullin, Donny Buck Thompson, and Stella Scheppelmann. An only child, Judy was preceded in death by her father Lawrence L. Paulucci and mother Lucy Ann Paulucci. A Petaluma native and lifetime resident, Judy attended Philip Sweed and St. Vincent Schools, and Petaluma High School, where she met Carlo on a school bus. After graduating high school in 1956, she attended business college in San Francisco and worked as a recording clerk at the San Francisco Stock Exchange. Judy and Carlo married on June 14, 1958 and went on to have four children while owning and operating the Tivoli Hotel from 1959-1970 and the Tivoli II Bar & Restaurant from 1972-1995, where together they created a favorite local gathering place, serving up delicious homemade family style meals, and making wonderful friends and memories for over 35 years.
After retiring from the restaurant business in 1995, Judy worked for Kenilworth Junior High and Casa Grande High schools in the food service area, where she made many more cherished friends and continued her love of food and children by serving the youth community. Upon retiring from Petaluma City Schools in the early 2000s, Judy focused on her love of family, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her cherished dog Scooty, and tending to her beautiful gardens. Of all her successes, Judy’s number one priority and greatest accomplishment over her lifetime was always her family. Her kind, sweet spirit shines through and continues on through all who were blessed to know her.
