JULIA CHRISTINA HEALY passed away on October 17, 2014 in San Rafael. Wife of the late Michael M. Healy. Loving sister of Nora Murphy, Martin Nee, and the late Margaret O'Connor of Galway, Ireland, and also the late Mary Kohler of Santa Barbara. Survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins in Ireland and the US. Many close friends in Petaluma and San Francisco will miss her. Native of Ireland; Julia received her nursing degree in London. She came to New York in 1954 and then moved to San Francisco in 1966. Julia worked at St. Elizabeth and Roosevelt Hospitals as an RN. She loved her profession, especially caring for the patients. In 1996, she moved to Petaluma. During her marriage to Michael, they enjoyed hiking, camping and skiing. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm with a Vigil Service at 7:00 pm at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 10:00 am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 35 Liberty St., Petaluma. Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Auxiliary of Little Sisters of the Poor, 300 Lake St., San Francisco, CA 94118.
