Karen Laugesen

Karen Laugesen - Passed away on October 4, 2010 in San Rafael. Devoted wife of the late Viggo Laugesen. Cherished mother of James Laugesen of Sonoma and Lis Grossi of Petaluma. Adored grandmother of Dino Grossi, Julie Keefer, Darin Grossi, Lance Laugesen, and Lorin Laugesen. Beloved great-grandmother of six. Survived by the DeBernardiâ??s of Two Rock, her adopted family. Predeceased by five brothers and four sisters. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews in CA and Denmark. Karen was born, reared, and educated in Denmark. In 1939, she married Viggo and eight years later, she, Viggo, and their two children moved to the US and settled in Petaluma. Karen spent many years as a cook at Pedroniâ??s Delicatessen in Petaluma. Proud of her Danish heritage, she was a member of the Danish Solders Club, Sonderjyland, and Dania, all Petaluma organizations. At the familyâ??s request, no services will be held.
