Karen Matsumoto

Karen Matsumoto, age 74, passed away unexpectedly in Petaluma on November 16, 2021. She was the loving daughter of the late Masao Matsumoto and Kimiko Matsumoto. She is survived by numerous cousins.

Karen was born and raised in Petaluma. She graduated from Petaluma High School and Sonoma State University. After 40+ years of dedicated service as an elementary teacher at Forestville Union School, she enthusiastically embraced retirement over the past several years. Karen enjoyed gardening, crafts, her bi-weekly exercise class, shopping, dining out and getting together with family and friends.  She was a member of Enmanji Buddhist Temple and a lifetime member of the California Teachers' Association.

Due to Covid safety concerns, a memorial service will not be held.
