Kathleen Patricia (Britton) Walker

Kathleen Walker passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 4, 2019 in Folsom, CA.

Kathleen was born May 12, 1937 in San Francisco, CA, where she was raised by her parents Louis and Mary Britton. After graduating high school, she met and fell in love with Donald Krebs Walker. When they were married, Kathleen and Donald had five children. Even though being a mom was her priority, she volunteered as often as she could. She volunteered at the Italian Catholic Federation for 20 years, active with the Widow and Widower groups, Young Ladies Institute, Saint Francis of Assisi and the Saint James Women Group. Kathleen was also very involved with Saint Vincent’s Catholic Church, Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church and Saint James Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing poker, loved to travel and camp, and she also loved her wine. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Donald Walker, son Robert Walker, and grandson James Burke. Kathleen is survived by her children: Ann Marciano (David), Jean De Lope, James Walker (Florence), and David Walker (Mercy); grandchildren: Sarah Marciano, Leah and Ashley Walker, Jason De Lope, Jordan Walker, Jennifer Walker, Stacy De Lope, Douglas Walker, and Donald Walker II; and eleven great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on December 11th, 2019 from 11:00AM to 8:00PM at Parent Sorensen Mortuary & Crematory, 850 Keokuk Street, Petaluma, CA 94952, with a rosary at 6:30PM. A funeral mass will be on December 12th, 2019 at 9:00AM at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 1500 Mission Road, Colma, CA 94014 with burial to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123 and/or Donate Life America, 701 East Byrd Street, 16th Floor, Richmond, VA 23219.
