Kathleen D. Debernardi

Passed away at home, Sunday June 10, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Vern DeBernardi. Loving mother of Dino (Carolyn) DeBernardi and Dario (Gina) DeBernardi. Cherished grandmother of Kathryn, Devin, Daniel and Drew DeBernardi. Dear sister of Maureen (Lauren) Bettinelli and the late Fred Starke. Sister in law of Mary Gayle Starke and Adele Ericson. Proud Godmother of Cynthia Chole, Tanya Sweaney, Darlene DeBernardi, Carla Ericson Axlerod, Tom Starke and Chris Bettinelli. Kathleen was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Mossi; mother and step-father, Kathryn and Charles Pronini; father and step mother, Elmer and Gladys Starke.  Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A native of Petaluma, CA. Age 80 years. Kathleen, a lifetime resident of Petaluma, attended St. Vincent Schools, graduating in the Class of 1956. She was an active member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish, where she participated in the Mother’s Club, Parents and Friends Organization and was a Eucharistic Minister for 32 years. She and Vern enjoyed cruises and traveling to Europe, Alaska, Reno and Tahoe. She was especially proud of her family.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, Petaluma, with the Vigil Service at the mortuary at 7:00 pm.  Family and friends are also invited to attend the Funeral Mass, Friday, June 15, 2018 at 10:30 am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Petaluma.  Entombment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Petaluma.  The family prefer memorials be made to St. Vincent  de Paul Church or to Continuum Care Hospice.
