Kathy Ann Govan

Passed away after a brief illness, September 18, 2013 in Stanford, CA, beloved wife for 43 years to Steve Govan. Dear sister of the late John A. Levitt. Loving sister-in-law of Florence Levitt and Randy Govan. Aunt of Bruce and Felicia Levitt and Steven and Cindy Levitt. Cherished godmother of Amber Mullinax and Adam Brown. Loving cousin of Sondra Brown, Bill Govan and Dennis Govan. Kathy was born, reared and educated in Sacramento, CA. She married Steve on July 25, 1970 in Reno, NV and resided in Petaluma until moving to Elk Grove 2 years ago. Kathy started her career with the Petaluma Police Department as a dispatcher for 8 years then moved to the Santa Rosa Police Department where she was a supervisor in the records department, retiring after 31 years. She was also an active member of the Presbyterian Church of Petaluma and recently in Elk Grove. She loved to travel and enjoyed her sewing and swimming clubs at the Del Webb in Elk Grove. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service, Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the Presbyterian Church of Petaluma, 939 B St., Petaluma, CA. The family suggests attendees wear red, her favorite color. Memorial contributions may be made to Presbyterian Church of Petaluma, Building Fund.
