Kenneth Russell Hahn

KENNETH RUSSELL HAHN passed away on November 2, 2015 in Petaluma at the age of 56 years. Devoted life partner of Gael Grove of Petaluma. Cherished father of Jennifer Demeter (Jason), Rebecca Hahn (Timothy), Drew Grove, Kerry Jones (Jason), and Shannon Gilmore (David). Beloved son of Rose and Fred Hahn. Adored brother of David Hahn, Ronald Hahn, Kerry Haas, and the late Daniel Hahn. Loving grandfather of Madison and Nicholas Demeter; Makayla and Sierra Jones; and Hannah and Charlotte Gilmore. Dear friend of Cyndi Hahn-Escovedo. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Ken was born, raised and educated in Portland, OR. He enlisted in the US Army and proudly served his country as a cannon fire direction specialist, attaining the rank of sergeant. Ken entered into the world of residential construction and remodeling as a general contractor in which he has worked for the last 38 years. He has spent the last 19 years in Sonoma County after being "stolen" by Gael from Portland. In his spare time, he enjoyed piloting private aircraft and watching the Reno air races. He was a computer geek and skilled photographer and videographer and would film Casa Grande football games and friends' weddings. Ken loved to dance and enjoyed traveling to Hawaii and Europe. His favorite place in the world was being in Maui with Gael, whale watching. Above all, Ken was a family man. He loved his family with all of his heart and soul, calling his mother every night to talk. He was a wonderful man; he will be greatly missed. Friends and family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life, Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 7:00 pm at Beyond the Glory, 1371 N. McDowell Blvd., Petaluma.
