Lana Lee Verbon, age 71, passed away at her home in Santa Rosa on September 9, 2021. Lana was born on April 29,1950 in Culver City to Marco and Marion Verbon. As a Christian who shared the word of God with all she is surely at peace with Him but will be greatly missed by those she touched.

Lana worked for 30 years as a legal secretary, paralegal and taught at Santa Rosa Junior College as a word processor instructor.

Known to her friends as “Lahana”, Lana brightened a room with her humor and spunk for life. She was devoted to her family and found joy in spending time with her parents and friends. A nightly viewing of Wheel of Fortune with her folks was their daily date.

Lana was an avid camper and Yosemite National Park was her favorite destination. She was fond of football, cooking, loved games and all animals. Lana had many dogs and cats over the years with a story for what made each one a cherished companion. She had a green thumb just like her mother, growing many varieties of flowers in her garden along with peach trees, cherry trees, and roses.

One of Lana’s most enjoyed accomplishments was being a mother and she doted over the cuteness of her grandchildren. Lana had a way of making children laugh and feel accepted immediately.

Lana is survived by her son, Russell Verbon, grandchildren, Lauren and Samuel Verbon, brother Mark Verbon, nieces Joy Verbon and Hope Lucas, and many other beloved family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary at 301 S. Main St., Sebastopol CA. with a gathering thereafter at the HopMonk Tavern.
