Larry Giannecchini

Born October 28, 1950 in San Rafael Ca., Larry passed away unexpectedly February 19, 2023 at his home in Petaluma. Larry grew up in Tamalpais Valley and graduated from Tamalpais High. Larry was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, kayaking and especially camping with the loves of his life, Pam Gambonini and his precious dog Sofie. Some of their favorite locations were out in Bodega Bay, Blue Lake and the Truckee area. Larry enjoyed the use of his e-bike while exploring the campgrounds with Pam and Sofie by his side in the basket he installed on his bike for her. In Larry’s younger years, he was a horse trainer and enjoyed deer hunting. Larry also enjoyed his antique shows and tending to his home garden. Larry was lovingly known as the neighborhood watch dog and could give anyone the scoop on the neighborhood.

Larry is survived by his loving partner Pam Gambonini, her children Daniel Gambonini (Devon) & Michelle Hunter (Trevor), his mother Maureen Giannecchini, Brothers Bob Giannecchini (Linda) & David Giannecchini and Sister Barbara Lemos (Ron). Larry is also survived and loved by his four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Larry was predeceased by his father George Giannecchini.

At Larry’s request, no public services will be held. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to your local hospice organization or charity of your choice.
