Laura Jo Evans - Laura Jo Evans succumbed to cancer in San Rafael on July 23, 2008 surrounded by her loving family. Ex-wife of late and former Petaluma Police Officer George T. Evans. Devoted mother of Roberta (Dave) Evans-Newsome of Santa Rosa, Jeffrey Evans of Petaluma, Steven (Victoria) Evans of Oregon, George M. (Cathy) Evans of San Diego, and Ralph (Jeannie) Evans of Petaluma. Grandmother to ten beautiful children. Laura resided in Petaluma since the early 1960â??s. Born in Craig Colorado, Laura worked at various hospitals throughout Petaluma, finishing her 50 year Nursing career at the Oaks Convalescent Home. Her hobbies included bowling, Bingo, and Barbie doll collecting. Laura was a 15-year member of the American Business Womenâ??s Association (ABWA).
