Laura O. Frey - Passed away on October 27, 2011 in Petaluma. Beloved wife of the late Forrest Frey for 70 years. Loving mother of Dolores McCloud and her husband Gene and Marian Olsen and her husband Paul all of Penngrove. Dear sister of Helen Cavanagh of Petaluma, Emma Berven of MN, and Ruth Crizer of Hawthorne, CA. Survived by several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Elim Lutheran Church, 504 Baker St., Petaluma. Please attend a gathering after the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Petaluma Valley Rotary Club, P.O. Box 2101, Petaluma, CA 94953 or the Elim Lutheran Church in her memory. Born and raised in Penngrove, she graduated from Petaluma High School in 1940. In 1942 she married Forrest, the love of her life, and moved to Petaluma with him in 1945 after he returned from serving in the Army Air Corps during World War II. She was a n active participant in several charitable organizations throughout her life. During the 1950â??s and 60â??s she worked for the Hanna Boys Center, then was a teller at Wells Fargo Bank for 17 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of the Belles of Wells, Petaluma Womenâ??s Club, Elim Lutheran Church and Bay Area Camper Club and took great joy in gardening and sewing.
