Leah Adams

Leah Adams, age 98, passed away in Lake County on Monday, October 25, 2021. She was born on a farm near Woodland, CA on November 20, 1922, to Lydia (Storz) and Ed Nuss, the fourth for four children. She attended local schools and became a hairdresser.
Loving wife of the late Donald Adams of Petaluma. They were married on the family farm in Yolo County. They settled in Petaluma and raised their family after Don served in the US Army in the European Theater during WWII. Loving mother of Steven Adams and his wife Barbara of Woodland and the late David Adams of Hawaii. Loving grandmother of Jeanne Adams of Winters and Mark Adams of Woodland. Loving great-grandmother of Ashley Kenyon, Jenna Ciraulo, John Adams and Jamie Adams.
Leah’s family was the love of her life. She was a hairdresser in Petaluma for over 30 years. Leah and Don moved to Lake County where they owned Rocky Point Resort. They later built their dream home in Buckingham next to the golf course in Lake County where they enjoyed their retirement playing golf, traveling and spending time with many friends. Leah was a well-known Lake County artist and was known for her “rosemaling,” portraits, gourds, tole painting and many arts and crafts. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.
Friends and family are invited to attend the Graveside Service on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 11:00 am at Cypress Hill Memorial Park, 430 Magnolia Ave., Petaluma. A Visitation will be held from 9:30 am to 10:45 am on Tuesday at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. Memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Buckingham Club House in Lake County.
